Football Recap: Tatum Kocerha Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fowler + How To Watch

Simla and Fowler faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Cubs secured a 12-8 W over the Grizzlies. The victory continues a trend for the Cubs in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won four in a row.

Simla got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tatum Kocerha out in front who picked up 157 receiving yards and one TD. Kocerha's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 125 receiving yards dating back to last season. Hayden Pfost was another key rusher, rushing for 117 yards on only 14 carries.

Fowler's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock True, who rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown. Bronson Damgaard helped out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards.

Simla's record now sits at 2-0. As for Fowler, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Simla will be playing in front of their home fans against McClave at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fowler, they will head out on the road to face off against Akron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
