Volleyball Recap: Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Comes Up Short

If Walker-Hackensack-Akeley was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cass Lake-Bena on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves came up short against the Greenway Raiders on Monday, falling 3-0. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Greenway, the victory (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley will face off against Blackduck at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenway, they will venture away from home to square off against Hermantown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
