Soccer Game Preview: Denver North vs. Rangeview

The Denver North Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Rangeview Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Denver North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Denver South, who was ranked 16th at the time (Denver North was ranked 20th). The Vikings skirted past the Ravens 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Denver North sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Owen Clough was the driving force of Denver North's attack as he scored all three of Denver North's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Rangeview's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand Overland a 1-0 shutout.

Rangeview's win bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Denver North, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2-2.

Denver North skirted past Rangeview 1-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
