Baseball Game Preview: Mound-Westonka White Hawks vs. Holy Family Catholic Fire

The Mound-Westonka White Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Holy Family Catholic Fire at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mound-Westonka hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Mound-Westonka and Hutchinson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The White Hawks fell 6-2 to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Mound-Westonka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Damato, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Damato's first of the season.

Southwest Christian hit Holy Family Catholic with a five-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Fire came up short against the Stars, falling 8-2. The Fire have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holy Family Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mound-Westonka, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
