Two dominant  backs in  Landan Johnson and  Elliot Baldini are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Muncie Central Bearcats will host the Logansport Berries  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Muncie Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They blew past Marion, posting  a  48-21 win. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 20  points or more this season.
The match pitted two dominant  backs against one another in  Johnson and  Jayden Johnson. Landan had a great game and rushed for 98 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 12 carries. Meanwhile,  Jayden did his best for the losing side, rushing for 116 yards and one  score.
 Muncie Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over.  Doiron Montgomery led the group effort, picking up two of those  interceptions all by himself.
Logansport's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Rensselaer Central on Friday. The Berries narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Huntington North  15-12.
Muncie Central better keep an eye on  Quincy Jackson. He was instrumental in Logansport's win, rushing for 104 yards on only ten carries. Jackson got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 70 yards.
 Logansport was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 325  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 158  rushing yards in six consecutive  games.
 Logansport's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  three times.  Loran Taylor was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
 Logansport pushed their record up to 7-3 with the  win, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average this season. As for Muncie Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Muncie Central suffered a grim  35-13 defeat to Logansport  when the teams last played  back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Bearcats,  Chris Anthony DelValle (who rushed for 118 yards and three  touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
