Basketball Game Preview: Aubrey Rogers Patriots vs. Titusville Terriers

The Aubrey Rogers Patriots and the Titusville Terriers will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Aubrey Rogers has four straight wins, Titusville has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Aubrey Rogers is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Palatka: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Aubrey Rogers blew Palatka out of the water with a 66-30 final score. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Aubrey Rogers found their leader in freshman Ella Johnson, who posted 18 points. The contest was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Hamisch, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Titusville had to suffer through a 77-36 loss at the hands of St. Thomas Aquinas. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Raiders are ranked 40th).

Aubrey Rogers has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Titusville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
