Lompoc and Templeton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Braves will head out to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lompoc is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Lompoc saw some tournament action on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to Stockdale, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Rianna Stouppe made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Liberty hit Templeton with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell 10-5 to the Patriots.

Jessie Branch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Zoey Aron also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Templeton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14-1. As for Lompoc, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Templeton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Lompoc has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Templeton, though, as they've been averaging only 2.7 strikeouts. Will Lompoc keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?

Lompoc beat Templeton 9-5 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
