Basketball Recap: Parkland Matadors vs. El Dorado Aztecs
If Parkland was riding high fresh off their 54-27 takedown of Del Valle last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Parkland Matadors were dealt a 50-23 defeat at the hands of the El Dorado Aztecs on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Matadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-38 back in January.

Parkland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brissa Rubal, who posted nine points and three blocks, and Mia Arambula, who earned five points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Rubal a new career-high in blocks.

Parkland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-16 loss against Americas on the 31st. As for El Dorado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-19 defeat against Hanks on the 31st.
