Football Recap: Jensen Beach Piles Up the Points Against Okeechobee

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jensen Beach walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 39-0 win over the Okeechobee Brahmans. Considering the Falcons have won nine matches by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Paige Bressman was a one-woman wrecking crew as she threw for 173 yards and four TDs, and also punched in one rushing score. She has become a key player for Jensen Beach: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Kayla Carnes got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Jensen Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Natalie Tobiasz led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Emma Butcher is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Carnes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory was the third in a row for Jensen Beach, bringing their record up to 10-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Okeechobee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Coming up, Jensen Beach will face off against Suncoast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Falcons 7.1, the Chargers 9.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Okeechobee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
