Basketball Recap: Grant County Comes Up Short

Grant County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 65-50 fall against the Spencer County Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-51 back in December of 2025.

Grant County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Spencer County, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Grant County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-50 victory against Owen County on the 19th. As for Spencer County, they will be playing at home against South Oldham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
