Soccer Game Preview: Master's Academy vs. International Community

The Master's Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the International Community Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Master's Academy's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Crooms Academy 6-0.

Meanwhile, International Community came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the Eagles. It was an even better day for Collin Kelsey as he scored three goals for his team.

International Community's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Master's Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Master's Academy skirted past International Community 1-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Master's Academy since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
