Football Game Preview: Herrin Tigers vs. Carbondale Terriers + How To Watch

The Herrin Tigers will challenge the Carbondale Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Herrin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Herrin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 35-20 bruising from Massac County on Friday.

Meanwhile, Carbondale came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-13 win over Granite City. The Terriers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 53-8).

Herrin better keep an eye on Davin Wooley. He was instrumental in Carbondale's win, throwing for 196 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 51 yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Wooley racked up 137.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Synsear Scott-Ross was another key player, picking up 86 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Herrin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Carbondale, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Herrin took their win against Carbondale in their previous meeting back in September of 2015 by a conclusive 34-13 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Terriers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
