Softball Preview: Elk Grove Thundering Herd vs. Davis Sr. Blue Devils

Everything went their way against Christian Brothers as Elk Grove made off with a 10-0 win. Jenna Porto and Katelyn Maciel did most of the damage at the plate: Porto scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Maciel scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Maciel is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Annabele Focht, who went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a double.

Davis Sr. lost 13-3 to St. Francis on Wednesday. Davis Sr. has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elk Grove pushed their record up to 15-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Davis Sr., their loss dropped their record down to 12-8-1.
