Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central Heights walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 45-25 margin over the New Waverly Bulldogs on Friday. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 60-40 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Central Heights is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-18 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. New Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 15-21.
