Basketball Game Preview: East Tartans vs. Symmes Valley Vikings

East is 0-10 against Symmes Valley since December of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The East Tartans will head out on the road to challenge the Symmes Valley Vikings at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, East came up short against Oak Hill and fell 48-37. The Tartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Symmes Valley played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Minford, falling 85-42. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-27.

East will have to contain Ethan Smith as he made an impact in Symmes Valley's last game. He posted 17 points.

East's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Symmes Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

East came up short against Symmes Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 52-47. Can East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
