Soccer Recap: Mapleton Gets the Win

After failing to score in their last matchup, Mapleton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Northwestern on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering Mapleton's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Northwestern with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kenzie Hellickson (3), Audrey Hellickson (2), and Khloe Hardestry.

Mapleton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Northwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Mapleton and Northwestern will both be playing Crestview the next time they take the pitch. The Huskies will head out to face the Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mounties will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
