Baseball Recap: Lenape Valley Takes a Loss

Lenape Valley had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 9-10 to make it five. They came up short against the Hackettstown Tigers, falling 9-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

As for Hackettstown, their win bumped their record up to 12-6. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

For Hackettstown's part, the team relied heavily on Tyler Lambo, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Lambo has posted since back in April. Jacob Echandy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

While Lenape Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
