Volleyball Recap: Burke Wins Going Away Against Andes Central/Dakota Christian

It's playoff time, and Burke had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past Andes Central/Dakota Christian 3-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with Andes Central/Dakota Christian: they've now won eight in a row.

One reason for the win was Burke's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-10.

Kyrie Matucha was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 13 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Matucha wasn't the only good servers: Burke was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Burke's victory bumped their record up to 28-6. As for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-27.

Looking ahead, Burke will challenge Gregory on Thursday. Andes Central/Dakota Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
