Volleyball Recap: Rushville Starts off Right with Win over Cambridge City Lincoln

Rushville had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

Rushville walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Leading Rushville to victory were KELSEY MORGAN and MACY BLEVINS. MORGAN hit 80% for 18 kills and 17 digs, four blocks, and four aces, while BLEVINS had ten digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Rushville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Rushville has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Tri on the 20th. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Seton Catholic on the 20th.
