Softball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline and Fauquier squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Skyline had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost six in a row.

Alice Benson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaitlynn King, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Fauquier, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Skyline nor Fauquier have any future games scheduled.
