Makayla Stone made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over 4.2 innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Madyson Priest was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Ameera Kummer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Fort Wayne Snider was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne North Side only posted a batting average of .118.
Meanwhile, Carroll came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bruins a 1-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since May 10th.
Like Fort Wayne Snider, Carroll also got a great game from a two-way player: Taylor Danley. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Danley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tessa Patterson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Chloe Bontempo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 21-5-1. As for Fort Wayne Snider, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.
