Softball Recap: Nogales Comes Up Short

Nogales lost to Azusa on April 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nobles fell 11-6 to the Aztecs. The Nobles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mari Ortega was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Bella Robles was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Nogales' record is now 4-14. As for Azusa, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nogales will challenge rival Duarte at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Azusa is set to face off against their familiar foe Sierra Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
