Softball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Edison Tigers. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

The loss snapped Hoover's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Hoover wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-2 defeat against Avenal on the 22nd. As for Edison, they will welcome Madera South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
