Recap: Hubbard Eagles vs. South Range Raiders
The Hubbard Eagles lost against the South Range Raiders back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hubbard was outmatched by the Raiders at home and fell 79-46. Hubbard has struggled against the Raiders recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Hubbard saw an underclassman step up: Kenyen Franklin scored 13 points. Lavonte Daniels was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five assists.
Hubbard has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for South Range, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hubbard will take on the Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for South Range, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Poland Seminary is ranked 204th, while the Raiders are ranked 220th).
