On Friday, Coolidge faced Roosevelt in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Coolidge Colts really took it to the Roosevelt Roughriders for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-13 win. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 33 points or more this season.

Coolidge was led to victory by Josslyn Derricott and Marshea Fisher. Derricott dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds, while Fisher dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals. Fisher has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Kahmya Dixon was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Coolidge pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Coolidge will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Oxon Hill at 11:30 a.m. Coolidge's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Oxon Hill's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Roosevelt, they will head out to challenge MacArthur at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
