Softball Recap: Ten Straight Home Victories for Gillespie

While Gillespie's victory against Sacred Heart-Griffin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Miners sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cyclones on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Miners, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sadie Sholtis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
