Soccer Game Preview: Hickman vs. Park Hill South

The Hickman Kewpies will face off against the Park Hill South Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hickman's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Wednesday, Hickman didn't have quite enough to beat Helias and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Park Hill South is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Saint Thomas Aquinas. The Panthers came out on top against the Saints by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Park Hill South were the better team in the second half.

Park Hill South is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those eight matches. As for Hickman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.

Hickman couldn't quite get it done against Park Hill South in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Kewpies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
