Softball Game Preview: North Rangers vs. Riverside Beavers

North hasn't had much luck against Riverside recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rangers are taking a road trip to face off against the Beavers at 5:00 p.m.

North is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chardon.

Ashley Sykes (John Carroll) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Gianna Latini was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Riverside waltzed into their game on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Rangers.

Riverside's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

North couldn't quite get it done against Riverside in their previous meeting on Monday as they fell 7-3. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
