Softball Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

Colfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-2 to the Bear River Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 back in March.

Colfax saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Stofleth, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Olivia Zanoni also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Colfax's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bear River, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Colfax will challenge Foresthill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear River, they will take on Mira Loma at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
