Olathe South came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Olathe East Hawks 61-34. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Hawks are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Olathe South pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points over those games. As for Olathe East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Olathe South will be playing at home against Gardner-Edgerton on Tuesday. As for Olathe East, they will head out to face off against Shawnee Mission South on Tuesday. Shawnee Mission South has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
