Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Wall's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Wall was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Jim Ned on Thursday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 18-4 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by six runs or more this season.

Wall let Hagyn Barbee and Caleb Braden run wild. Barbee went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Braden went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Braden has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Dillard, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Wall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jim Ned only posted an OBP of .300.

Wall has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Jim Ned, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-6.

Wall will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
