Lapel entered their tilt with Heritage Christian on Monday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-2 victory. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 10-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rylie Hudson made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Darl Gustin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eli Suchocki, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lapel lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Lapel pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Coming up, Lapel will head out to face off against Madison-Grant at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heritage Christian, they will welcome Triton Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
