Baseball Recap: East Lake Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

East Lake barely beat Tarpon Springs the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The East Lake Eagles blew past the Tarpon Springs Spongers 6-0 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Camden Boehm was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in hits (zero). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double.

In other batting news, Andrew Sheffield was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Eli Millian was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The win (which was East Lake's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tarpon Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

East Lake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Palm Harbor University on the 7th. As for Tarpon Springs, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-6 victory against Dunedin on the 7th.
