Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Classical Academy

Classical Academy won the last time they faced Santa Fe Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Caimans skirted past the Eagles 3-2. That's two games straight that the Caimans have won by just one run.

Classical Academy got a great performance from Adam Hukill as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. The Caimans are 5-1 when Hukill allows two or fewer earned runs, but 3-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Travis Perry was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Classical Academy pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Classical Academy has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 victory against Bishop's on the 28th. As for Santa Fe Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Francis Parker on the 28th.
