Volleyball Recap: Deer Park Takes a Loss

Deer Park's tournament run continued when they took on Aledo on Friday. The Deer fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 2-1.

Alixandra Klein paced Deer Park's offense, picking up 14 kills. Klein got some help from Emma Hooks and her 32 assists. Klein was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Aledo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karsyn Evans led the charge by getting 13 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Evans has posted over her last seven matches. Another player making a difference was Kenley Hamilton, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Deer Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Aledo, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Deer Park has already played their next game (against Steele), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Aledo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cedar Park on the 16th.
