Baseball Recap: Santo Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Santo was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Poolville Monarchs, falling 20-2. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Monarchs earlier this season, when they won 11-8.

Memphis Prosser was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Santo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Poolville, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santo will take on Graford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santo's pitchers better be ready for this one: Graford has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Poolville, they will challenge Hico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
