Baseball Recap: Mercer Wins Going Away Against Reynolds

Mercer never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Reynolds on Wednesday. They blew past the Raiders 11-2. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Jayden Amos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mercer is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise. Amos was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kameron Woods was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Adam Dupuis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Mercer's record now sits at 10-4. As for Reynolds, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11-1.
