Softball Recap: Torrey Pines Victorious

Torrey Pines extended their postseason success on Friday against Eastlake. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 6-3. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Jenna Clayton, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Becca Clayton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Torrey Pines was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are 4-1-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Torrey Pines' victory bumped their record up to 14-12-1. As for Eastlake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-20 record this season.

Torrey Pines will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
