East Lansing has gone a perfect 10-0 against Everett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Lansing is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Davison on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Trojans were beaten by the Cardinals 57-14. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

Meanwhile, Everett took a blow against Grand Ledge on Friday, falling 36-8. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Comets are ranked 37th).

This is the second loss in a row for East Lansing and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Everett, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

East Lansing was able to grind out a solid victory over Everett when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 39-26. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
