Basketball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Takes a Loss

Guadalupe Centers lost against Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs were dealt a 48-14 defeat at the hands of the Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders. The Aztecs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.

Kate Corley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, going 12-for-21 to rack up 24 points. Another player making a difference was Veronica Clark, who posted four points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Guadalupe Centers dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Coming up, Guadalupe Centers will face off against Union Star at 5:00 p.m. on February 18th. Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
