Soccer Game Preview: Mount Pleasant vs. Concord

Mount Pleasant is 0-9-1 against Concord since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Green Knights will challenge the Raiders at 3:30 p.m. Mount Pleasant will be strutting in after a win while Concord will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Mount Pleasant turned things around against Christiana on Wednesday. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Concord unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 6-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brandywine.

Concord's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Mount Pleasant, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-8-1.

Mount Pleasant couldn't quite get it done against Concord when the teams last played on Friday as they fell 2-0. Can the Green Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
