Minarets better focus on containing Nathan Fuentes and Tristan Beardsley as the pair were huge in Chowchilla's win. Fuentes rushed for 145 yards and one TD while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, while Beardsley rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Beardsley's longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards.
Chowchilla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 382 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 368 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Chowchilla's defensive line and their five sacks. Fowler's QB won't forget Charles Arechiga anytime soon given he sacked him three times.
Chowchilla's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Minarets, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Minarets took a serious blow against Chowchilla in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 54-20. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 40-6.
