There's no place like home for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Monroe County Tigers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Cooper Montgomery made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Preston Munger, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Carter Stinson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe County, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
