Softball Recap: Barstow Triumphs

Barstow's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 16-10 margin over the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights. The high-scoring effort was just what the Aztecs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Barstow's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barstow will host Burroughs at 3:00 p.m. on March 17th. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they will be playing at home against Norton Science & Language Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Academic Excellence has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
