Basketball Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hiwassee Dam Eagles. If the Highlanders were looking for revenge after losing 58-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hiwassee Dam, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will take on Andrews in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hiwassee Dam and Robbinsville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
