Volleyball Recap: Red Lake County Central Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Red Lake County Central and Fertile-Beltrami, and Fertile-Beltrami kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Falcons on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Monday.

Alexa Chervestad paced Red Lake County Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Chervestad got some help from Emma Hendrickson and her 13 assists. Keanna Landrus controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Red Lake County Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they pushed their record up to 20-6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Red Lake County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Blackduck on the 24th.
