Soccer Game Preview: King vs. Gaither

The King Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Gaither Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. King has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 5.

Friday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They came up short against Alonso on Friday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Ravens are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Gaither was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 4-1 to Newsome. The Cowboys have struggled against Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Gaither, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.

King suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Gaither when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can King avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
