Baseball Game Preview: Midway Raiders vs. Red Springs Red Devils

For the second straight game, Midway will face off against Red Springs. The Raiders will host the Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Midway's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Red Springs has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Midway's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Red Springs. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Cameron Register looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Wyatt Scott was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Herring, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Midway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Red Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
