The Memorial Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Emerson Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
Last Tuesday, Memorial made easy work of Independence and carried off an 18-5 victory. Considering the Warriors have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Megan Wilson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Caiden Coleman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Haven Parr was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Emerson unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lebanon Trail by a score of 6-5.
Amilee Stapp made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Emerson, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Memorial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Emerson struggles in that department as they've averaged .371. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Memorial came up short against Emerson in their previous meeting back in March, falling 6-3. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
