First Baptist Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Crescent City recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. First Baptist Christian Academy is taking a road trip to  face off against Crescent City  at 7:00  p.m. The two teams are strolling into their  contests after big wins in their previous games.
First Baptist Christian Academy headed into their last  match having not scored more than two  runs for three straight, but Warner Christian Academy let them put that streak behind them. First Baptist Christian Academy put the hurt on Warner Christian Academy with a sharp  26-2 win on Tuesday. With that  victory, the Crusaders brought their scoring average up to 7  runs per game.
 Caitlyn Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. She also  tossed three  walks, marking her first of the season. She was even better at the plate,  scoring four  runs while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ashlynn Clements, who  went 4-for-5 with seven  RBI and three  runs. Those  RBI were  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Serenity Arneaud, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 First Baptist Christian Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .821. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Crescent City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by  a  20-0 margin over the Crusaders. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Like First Baptist Christian Academy, Crescent City also got a great game from a two-way player:  Caylee Goff. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave  Goff a new career-low in  walks (zero). She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Crescent City let  Macy Stuckey and  April Morales run wild. Stuckey  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple, while  Morales  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Stuckey is also on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games she's  played.  Shae Delaney was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Crescent City's record now sits at 6-3. As for First Baptist Christian Academy, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-3.
Thursday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. First Baptist Christian Academy has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .507. However, it's not like Crescent City struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .551. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 First Baptist Christian Academy suffered a grim  20-0 defeat to Crescent City  in their previous meeting  two weeks ago. Can First Baptist Christian Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
